Play Along

Established in 1999, the Friends of Forest Heights Society is a provincially registered nonprofit society dedicated to enhancing the educational opportunities of Forest Heights students. We raise the funds to support school expenses that fall outside of the regular operating budget, including field trips, technology, programs and cultural events.

In 2018, it became apparent that our early 90s playground was deteriorating and would need replacement within a timeframe of approximately five years. We soon formed a committee to begin planning and fundraising for playground replacement.

Since school boards in Alberta do not fund playground infrastructure, we must rely solely on our own efforts. So our society and school community has been working nonstop to raise the funds to replace our playground and create an engaging, accessible space for play!
